Cookie Policy

This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) that Tweely uses on tweely.app, twee.ly, tweely.co, tweely.chat and in the chat widget. It is part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage work in a similar way. "First-party" means they are set by Tweely, not by another company.
2. Cookies and storage we use

When you pay, Stripe runs the checkout page and sets its own cookies to prevent fraud. See Stripe's cookie policy. Embedded YouTube or Spotify players on a profile may set their own cookies when you play them.
3. Your choices
- Essential cookies are needed for Tweely to work, so they are always on. The law allows this without consent.
- The analytics cookie (tw_vid): where the law requires consent for it (for example in the EU, EEA and UK), we ask for your consent before setting it, and you can change your choice at any time. If you say no, we still count visits, but without telling repeat visitors apart.
- We honour Global Privacy Control and similar browser signals as a request to opt out of anything beyond essential cookies.
- You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop sign-in and forms from working.
4. The chat widget on other websites
When a business adds the Tweely chat widget to its website, the widget runs from tweely.app in a frame and uses local storage so you can come back to your chat. The business that runs that website is responsible for asking for any consent its own laws require and for explaining the widget in its privacy notice. See our Business & Widget Terms.
